White sage is an herb held sacred by Native Americans for hundreds of years. Used in rituals and ceremonies for centuries, white sage is often burned to create its intended effects. This is called smudging.
Smudging is a cleansing ceremony used to help people, places, or even objects get rid of negative energy or even bad spirits.
Similar to sage and cedar, palo santo is most widely used for spiritual purification and energy (house) cleansings. Once the wood sticks are burned, the smoke is used clear negative energy and restore tranquility and calm emotions.
The abalone shell is an excellent gift. The Maori people believe it can bring luck, peace, health and prosperity to the person wearing or using it. The abalone shell can be used to rest your sage or palo santo while it smolders.
